Brantford Film Festival 2012


The Brantford Film Festival was held on November 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the Laurier Brantford campus. This year’s festival gained international recognition, with over 170 submissions received from over 30 countries around the world. The Film Selection Committee was able to narrow these entries down to 54 films which completed for 7 awards.

This year’s winners were honored at the Brantford Film Festival Gala, hosted on November 3rd. Several filmmakers were in attendance, including the Director and Cast of the documentary “Broken Soldiers” and the Producer of the feature film “Iron Road”, which received three awards.

This year’s winners were:
Best Short: Blood Country
Best Student: Sin Dolor
Best Feature: Iron Road
Best Aboriginal: They Grow Together
Best Documentary: Broken Soldiers
Best in Fest: Iron Road
Peoples’ Choice: Iron Road
