Heart To Art Project

Heart to Art, a community project working in partnership between the Grand River Community Health Centre, focuses on using forms of art to combat issues of poverty and create awareness of mental health and healthy eating in the community.

There are several workshops being offered, free to the community, in the coming weeks. The first, an infused vinegar workshop is taking place on Wednesday November 21st from1:00-2:30pm at Grand River Community Health Centre. An evening version of this workshop will also be held on Monday, November 26th, 2012 from 7:00-8:30pm at Karahkwa House (237 Mohawk St.).

An “I love my Slowcooker” class will also be held on Thursday November 29th, 2012. Participants are invited to sample some slow cooker meals, learn how to prepare the meals, and take home their own prepared ingredients. Stovetop versions are also available to anyone who does not own a slowcooker.

To register for any of these classes or workshops, please contact the Heart to Art Coordinator, Kate Leeming, at 519-753-9400. Registration is required for all classes.
