Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant
Located in Glenhyrst Gardens, Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant has been operating as a public gallery since 1957 with displays of contemporary art exhibitions year round: complimented by classes, tours, workshops, lectures, special events, art rental programme, permanent collection of historical and contemporary works, gift shop, artists’ rental gallery and an outdoor sculpture garden.
Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant also operates the Coach House as an educational/studio facility year-round, and the Gardener’s Cottage as a rental gallery space for artists to hold their own exhibitions, plus there is a Gift Shop and an Art Rental and Sales department.
Glenhyrst’s permanent collection has over 650 works, featuring both contemporary and historical work. Since Glenhyrst is situated on parkland the gallery also has an Outdoor sculpture garden with five sculptures as of 2007.
Programming includes tours of the exhibition, workshops, outreach to schools, children and adult classes, a children’s summer art camp and artist lectures that accompany exhibitions.
