BRANTFORD, ON – Monday, November 21st, 2011 – The Brantford Arts Block is pleased to announce that SC Johnson has made a significant donation of $75,000 towards the Brantford Centre for the Arts. This donation will help the Brantford Arts Block in renovating it's new 20,000 sq ft building in Downtown Brantford.

 

Through this donation, SC Johnson has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to downtown revitalization and the potential of this project to transform our community. As one of Brantford's major corporate citizens SC Johnson believes that supporting the arts is a major part of creating a prosperous Brantford. David Borenstein the Chair of Brantford Arts Block's Board of Directors says “This project has been in the planning stages for some time. Union Gas and Steve Charest were the original catalyst for the project through their generous donation of the building and we have already received significant “in kind” support from Mohawk College and MMMC Architects. Getting support from such recognized leaders within the city of Brantford really speaks to the strength of this project.'' SC Johnson's support will allow the Brantford Arts Block to move forward immediately with renovations on the building.
